Dr. Hazel Serrao-Brown is accredited as a member of the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES) and is the only Full Member of the Australian & New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons (ANZES) in Canberra, ACT. This reflects her high volume surgical practice and dedication to excellence in the Endocrine Surgery.

Dr Hazel Serrao-Brown undertook sub-specialty Endocrine Surgery training as the TS Reeve International Endocrine Surgery Fellow at the Royal North Shore Hospital Endocrine Surgery Unit - a position highly regarded by the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES) and the Australian & New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons (ANZES).
Dr Hazel Serrao-Brown specialises in the diagnosis and management of conditions involving the adrenals, thyroids, parathyroids and the surgical management of both benign and malignant endocrine conditions. This includes Graves disease, thyroid nodules and multi-nodular goitre, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, thyroid cancer, lymph nodes, hyperparathyroidism and adrenal lesions.

Dr Hazel Serrao-Brown specialises in minimally invasive adrenal surgery, offering both retroperitoneal and laparoscopic transperitoneal approaches.​​​
Dr. Hazel Serrao-Brown also performs Radio-Frequency Ablation (RFA) of thyroid nodules, offering a safe procedure performed under local anaesthetic. RFA utilises heat generated by radio waves to precisely target thyroid nodules, minimising discomfort and recovery time.
